We are actively seeking skilled Handballers to join our clients expanding team based in Grimsby. The role will require you to manually lift boxes up to 25kg in weight working in a particularly cold environment.
The ideal candidate will have a good, reliable work ethic able to complete all tasks to the best of their ability.
This position is ad-hoc therefore each week your hours could differ. The shift patterns available are 06:00 am till 14:00 pm or 14:00 pm till 22:00 pm.
Responsibilities
Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
Accurately pick and pack items for shipment, maintaining high standards of quality control.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and materials to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely delivery of products.
Perform heavy lifting as required, demonstrating mechanical knowledge when handling various materials.
Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including load unloading techniques.
Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
Attention to detail for quality control purposes.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
